    Under A.R.S.§ 11-1601 through 11-1610, RWRD is required to give Public Notices for its Permits, Approvals, and other Licensing Actions.

    Development Permits

    Connection to Existing Sewer Approval Application Process Notice

    Connection to Existing Sewer Approval is required when a private party would like to connect a structure (residential or commercial) to the existing sewer system.

    Final Plat Acceptance Application Process Notice

    Final Plat Acceptance is required for each new subdivision that contains within its boundaries sewer easements or sewer tributary to the RWRD Public Sewer System.

    Final Plats are one of several infrastructure permissions needed to proceed with a development.

    Preliminary Sewer Layout Acceptance Application Process Notice

    Preliminary Sewer Layout Acceptance is required for any project that will be constructed by a private party to serve any development and either

    1. involves new public sewer construction that will be turned over to RWRD for ownership upon completion and acceptance by RWRD,
    2. contains an existing public sewer or public sewer easement within the project boundaries, or
    3. may require construction of new public sewer within the project boundaries to serve a property upstream of the development.

    Sewerage Capacity Allocation Application Process Notice

    Updated 4/30/13

    Type III - Sewerage Capacity Allocation Letter is required prior to a new connection to the sewerage system or change in dischargeable flows made by an existing connection.

    Sewer Improvement Plan Acceptance Application Process Notice

    Sewer Improvement Plan Acceptance is required for new public sewer that will be constructed by a private party to serve any development and will be turned over to RWRD for ownership upon completion and acceptance by RWRD.

    Public Sewer Construction Permit Application Process Notice

    Updated 4/23/14

    Public Sewer Construction Permit issuance is required when new public sewer will be constructed by a private party to serve any development within the RWRD service area.

    Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit is required for any industrial users discharging to the Pima County Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW).

    Septage Permit is required for any industrial users discharging to the Pima County Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW)

    The purpose of this Department Procedure is to outline practices which are common to all application reviews submitted to the Engineering Division, under A.R.S. §11-1601 through §11-1610.
