Function
The Financial Operations Division strives to issue accurate and timely disbursement of vendor payments that is consistent with regulatory requirements as well as contractual obligations, to provide payroll compensation to employees of Pima County government on a bi-weekly basis, and to serve as the central location to process incoming/outgoing USPS mail as well as all interdepartmental mail.
Description of Services
Services provided by Financial Operations include: managing County centralized employee payroll activities, processing County accounts payable payments to vendors, keying County documents, processing travel and petty cash related documents, delivering and distributing centralized internal mail, and storing, archiving, and distributing County records.

- Provide excellent customer service to all customers and employees.
- Meet statutory deadlines for payroll and employer/ business related tax filings.
- Provide accurate and timely payments to employees and vendors.
- Process invoices timely.
- Respond to legal notifications within specified deadlines.
- Adhere to federal, state, and county regulations and statutes.
