    Pima Animal Care Center is extending hours on August 29, 30 and 31 as it invites the community to come and find a new family member. All summer long PACC has been competing with 49 of the nation’s other  top animal shelters for $100,000 in the ASPCA Rachael Ray 100K Challenge and this weekend is the final push.

    Pajama PartyJoin PACC, located at 4000 N. Silverbell, for a special three-day Cat’s Pajamas Adoption Party. All adoptions will be free and there are lots prizes to be given away (for adopting families) as well as special activities:

    • Friday, August 29, bring the kids and read to a pet during storytime from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. Friday  and Saturday hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Saturday, August 30, enjoy free breakfast (and adoptions) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and catch a movie in the courtyard from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Sunday, August 31, this final day of the Challenge features free adoptions and gifts during special extended hours of operations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

    Community members are encouraged to join into the “staying up late” theme by wearing some comfy pajamas to the shelter (staff and volunteers will be attired in pajamas too).
