Dog walkingCounty residents are invited to spread Thanksgiving love with Pima Animal Care Center dogs through PACC’s annual holiday dog-walking event. The event runs from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27 at 4000 N. Silverbell Road.

Everyone is welcome, but only those 16 years or older will be able to walk the dogs. PACC estimates that 200 dogs at the Center will need to be walked during that time. Please RSVP to Andrew Stocker at Andrew.Stocker@pima.gov by Monday, Nov. 24.

The Thanksgiving event will be followed by a Black Friday free adoption celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28. Both dogs and cats will be available for adoption during that time and the normal November adoption fee of $30 will be waived. Adoption of dogs older than three months will require a $15 license fee.

For more information, please email Andrew Stocker. For general shelter hours, visit www.pima.gov/animalcare
