Pima Animal Care Center is hosting a three-day adoption event Feb. 13-15 as part of PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend. Dozens of dogs will be looking for love with their forever family at the Irvington and I-19 PetSmart location. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and all adoption fees will be waived for qualified, loving families. This event was made possible by a generous $4,250 grant from PetSmart Charities.

“This is the perfect chance to find your Valentine,” said Kristin Barney, PACC’s chief of operations. “Research shows numerous health benefits from caring for a pet, including decreasing loneliness because pets offer unconditional love. We all need some of that! We are so grateful to PetSmart Charities for providing us this opportunity.”

If you prefer felines to canines, PACC will have plenty of cats available for adoption at the Oracle and Wetmore PetSmart during National Adoption Weekend, also from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Adoption fees will be waived.

Additionally, puppies, dogs and kittens will be available for a free Valentine’s weekend adoption at the PACC Silverbell Road shelter Feb. 13 from noon to 7 p.m. and Feb. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The standard $15 licensing fee for dogs over the age of three months will still apply with all adoptions at all locations.
