Let’s give a round of a-paws for Southwest Gas. Employees from the natural gas utility have raised $23,000 in donations for Pima Animal Care Center. The donations, which are part of Fuel for Life, Southwest Gas’ annual employee-giving campaign, were presented at the Pima County Board of Supervisors meeting Feb. 10.PACC receives donation check

PACC was one of seven local organizations picked by employees to be part of the Fuel for Life campaign. Southwest Gas has created a unique employee giving program that allows the possibility of an organization to be a recipient of contributions for two consecutive years. Additionally, 100 percent of the employee’s donations go directly to the selected organization.

“What’s really special about this is that everyone at Southwest Gas, from the front-line utility workers to the executives pitched in to help our pets,” said Karen Hollish, PACC development director. “There was so much buy-in, so much generous support to help keep our doors open for every pet in need. It is truly remarkable.”
