Dog walkingDid you know the average shelter pet needs at least 15 minutes of individual attention every day in order to stay happy and healthy?

On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, you can help relieve the stress for the dogs and puppies at the Pima Animal Care Center by participating in our Holiday Dog Walking event between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Community members who are interested in walking the dogs need to RSVP by Sept. 4 on PACC's website. Families are welcome, but only those ages 16 or older will be able to personally walk the dogs. By volunteering, you can help our pets stay healthy, happy and hopeful as they wait for their forever families. PACC will be hosting a volunteer orientation at 10:30 a.m. for anyone who wants to volunteer regularly.

PACC will be closed for adoptions on that day, but you can find information on our adoptable pets visit www.pima.gov/animalcare.
