Pima Animal Care Center invites the public to the Design Concept Unveiling event Oct. 20 at Abrams Public Health Center, 3950 S. Country Club, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a first-look viewing of the design for the new animal shelter.

Pima County project managers together with architects from project consultant, Line & Space, LLC, will present their design concept for the new shelter, including a conceptual floor plan that highlights the location of key areas, such as the animal housing and veterinary clinic. The design plan includes an overlook of the potential space on the existing site. In addition, architects will discuss how they have incorporated community and stakeholder feedback to ensure that the new facility meets modern shelter standards and also suits the existing needs of PACC staff and its homeless pets.

During the event, the public will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the design for the new PACC. This includes review of critical areas that support best practices in animal sheltering and other design elements.

Following the presentations, PACC invites the media to stay for a Q & A Session with the project managers and architects.
