  • Tucson Saguaros take on Alpine Cowboys May 26-28

    Tucson SaguarosThe Tucson Saguaros baseball team made their debut appearance at Kino Sports Complex last week sweeping the Santa Fe Fuego and rising up to first place in the South Division standings. The team now ranks 6-0 in Pecos League play.

    This Thursday, May 26, the Saguaros will take on the Alpine Cowboys out of Alpine, TX.

    The game starts at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

    Buy your general admission tickets for $7.50 on the Tucson Saguaros website or at the Kino Stadium Box Office, 2500 E. Ajo Way, starting at 4 p.m. on game days. Seniors and military personnel can get $6 discounted tickets with a valid ID.

    While you’re there, enjoy $1 beers and $1 sodas as part of Kino’s “Thirsty Thursdays” promotion. The Stadium will also have concessions and offer free parking.

    The series against Alpine continues May 27-28 with games starting at 7 p.m. each day.

    The Pecos League is an independent professional baseball league with teams in New Mexico, Kansas, West Texas, Southern Colorado, and just recently also Arizona. The Tucson Saguaros joined the League this year and selected Kino Sports Complex as its home field. 

    “We’re glad we were able to put it together and happy to be at Kino Stadium,” said Andrew Dunn, Director of the Tucson Saguaros. 

    The Tucson Saguaros will play all home games at Kino’s Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, through July 28.
