    • Pima County Community Wildfire Protection Plan

    The Core Team encourages public review and invites residents to download the plan and submit responses. Submit your feedback on the plan.
    The Pima County Office of Emergency Management has initiated the development of the Pima County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) in accordance with requirements of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003.

    The CWPP will analyze all communities at risk from wildland fire within Pima County and will establish a series of recommendations to reduce wildland vegetative fuel and structural ignitibility. The plan will also enhance public outreach and education about the effects of wildland fire in the urban interface.
    Recommendations within the CWPP when implemented are designed to reduce the threat of unwanted wildfire to communities.

    Pima County has established a Core Team of agency resource specialists in wildland fire to conduct the analysis process. The Core Team has established the Wildland Urban Interface boundary, determined wildland vegetation fuel hazard, and structure/infrastructure analyses.

    The Core Team encourages public review and invites residents to download the plan and submit responses below. Comments will be accepted through September 6, 2013.
