Road workBeginning Monday, January 14, 2019, Pima County Department of Transportation along with their contractor, Southern Arizona Paving, will begin construction from Camino de la Tierra through to Highway Drive and Curtis Road.

The scope of work includes centerline realignment to accommodate paved shoulders through the project limits, curve correction to increase super elevation at the two curves within the corridor and shoulder widening to add paved shoulders. These improvements will increase user safety.

Flagging operations and Sheriff’s deputies will be present. Hours of operations will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Delays may occur.

Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Speed limit will be reduced to 25 MPH within the work zone. Work is expected to be completed by Summer 2019.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.
