GradingOn Tuesday, September 3, starting at 10:00 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation along with its contractor, Southern Arizona Paving, will shift traffic to the west utilizing the newly paved shoulder and south bound travel lane.

Crews will begin milling and grading the edge of pavement to add a shoulder on the north bound lane from Andrada Road to the north entrance at Pantano High School.

The project will improve safety and preserve the existing pavement along Houghton Road from Andrada Polytechnic High School (APHS) south to Andrada Road and will include seal coat from APHS to Sahuarita Road. The project is scheduled to be completed by fall of 2019.

Heavy delays are likely and motorists are asked to seek alternate routes and to plan ahead. Motorists may use Wilmot Road or Wentworth Road as alternate routes that both lead to I-10.

Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.
