Can’t get to the adoption center at Pima Animal Care Center this month? Not to worry. We’ll be out and about with our great dogs throughout the whole month. none

Our dogs will be at Tucson Meet Yourself for all three days of the festival this weekend. From Oct. 11 through Oct. 13, we’ll be at the same location we were last year – near the Pima County tent in front of the Joel D. Valdez Library. Hours will be 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“There are many great acts to see all weekend, but we’re pretty sure our dogs will still steal the show,” predicted Kim Janes, manager of Pima Animal Care Center.

And since pets really help make a house a home, we’ll be at it again for the three-day SAHBA Home Show the following weekend. The show takes place at the Tucson Convention Center, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20.

Festival and Home Show goers will be able to pick up a coupon for $20 off the adoption fee, good at either event or as a rain check if we don’t quite have the right fit for them and they’d like to come by the shelter to see the full range of pets we have available.

Last but not least, our dogs will be out and about the last Saturday of the month, Oct. 26, at the Foothills Mall from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Cats don’t travel as well, but we have plenty to choose from at our adoption center.

Pima Animal Care Center has a new adoption fee structure for the remainder of the year. All of our dogs are $60, which includes vaccination, microchip, licensing for a year and spay/neuter surgery if necessary. Dogs that have been at the adoption center longer than two weeks are free, except for the $15 licensing fee.
