Landfills, transfer stations, and the Waste Tire Collection Facility owned by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality will be closed Thursday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
The closure includes landfills in Sahuarita and Ajo, the Tangerine Landfill, and the Catalina and Ryan Field Transfer Stations that are now operated by Tucson Recycling & Waste Services.
The Waste Tire Collection Facility, operated by CRM at 5301 W. Ina Road, also will be closed on Thanksgiving.
The County-owned landfills and transfer stations, as well as the Waste Tire Collection Facility, will reopen on Friday, November 29.
The last day to use the Tangerine Landfill at 10220 W. Tangerine Road is Saturday, November 30th. That landfill is closing to the public after November 30th.
