Sewerage Capacity Allocation Letter is required prior to a new connection to the sewerage system or change in dischargeable flows made by an existing connection.
The process leading up to a capacity allocation (Type III) is a progressive review of the sewer system’s availability to manage the new flow being added by a specific development.
The capacity allocated in a Type III (3) letter only becomes final when the connection conditions are met.
- The Type I (Investigation) request should be submitted in the early stages of development so both the owner and department are aware of the impacts the development may have on the sewer system.
- The Type II (Availability) request should be submitted prior to the conceptual design phase to verify the status of capacity in the sewer system for the development.
- The Type III (Allocation) request should be made prior to submitting public sewer improvement plans, or if no public sewer is part of the project, prior to applying for a site/building permit.
The request forms below are fillable PDF format, and must be sent via email to: RWRDCapacityResponse@pima.gov
