Waste Tire Collection RelocationThe Pima County Waste Tire Collection Site was relocated from the Ina Road Construction Debris Landfill, currently not operating, to the operating Tangerine Road Landfill. This location is protective of the health, welfare and safety of the residents while still located in an area convenient for the users of the facility. The location also facilitates the frequent removal of collected tires to a remote recycling facility to ensure only minimal numbers of tires are present at the site at any time. In addition, siting the collection location at a currently operating facility improves the economic aspects of operating the collection site. The site began collecting tires on July 1, 2010.
