The east bank Pantano Loop project between Broadway and Kenyon is nearing completion. This new section includes a new underpass, a pedestrian bridge and a key connection creating a continuous off-road path from just south of the 5th Street Wash all the way to Harrison and Irvington roads. still working on the Loop

This new section is funded by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and is being constructed by Clear Contracting Company. It is a highly anticipated link, as it provides an underpass crossing at Broadway Boulevard that is separated from traffic, allowing path travelers to cross the busy road without roadway traffic conflicts.

We look forward to the project opening by the end of February. In the meantime – please be courteous and safe by staying outside of the construction zone. The completed pavement can look tempting to pedestrians, cyclists and roller bladers, but safety hazards remain that are not always obvious to the public.

We will announce the opening once construction is finished, and the path is available to use. Like us on Facebook (facebook/ridetheloop) to stay in the loop on all Loop construction updates!

This is a project of the Regional Transportation Authority. The voter-approved, $2.1 billion RTA plan will be implemented through 2026. Details about the full plan are available at www.RTAmobility.com. The Regional Transportation Authority has a nine-member board with representatives from local, state and tribal governments. This project will be managed by Pima County.
