    tucson invitational gamesFor the fifth straight year, Tucson Invitational Games is bringing college baseball teams to Kino Sports Complex; more than 300 college baseball games will be played among the 68 teams coming to Tucson.

    Games began Feb. 28 and will continue through Sunday, March 29. Some of the Top NCAA Division III teams, including second-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.), fifth-ranked California Lutheran University, ninth-ranked Concordia University, Chicago, and 14th-ranked Linfield College (Ore.), will play games at the Kino Sports Complex. 

    Some 3,000 baseball players and coaches will participate. In addition, 58 softball teams also are playing and enjoying the destination. The softball and baseball events generate more than a combined 11,000 hotel room nights for Tucson and Pima County. Teams stay an average of seven days and generate additional economic benefits at restaurants, attractions, etc.  

    The teams and their schedules are available on the Tucson Invitational Games website.
    Tickets are $6 daily or $25 for a weekly pass. Park in the lot south of Ajo Way and west of Field 3 (see map below), and purchase tickets at the gate to the baseball fields. Concessions and merchandise will be available for sale at the games.

    Tucson Invitational Games started in 2002 with 14 college softball teams. It has hosted more than 400 schools from across the country and in 2011 expanded to include baseball.
