Pima Animal Care Center is reaching full capacity due to a recent increase in animals being dropped off at the shelter. Due to this overcrowding, PACC will be offering free adoptions of adult dogs and cats May 8 through May 10. The standard licensing fees for dogs will still apply.pup for adoption

“As we embark on the warmer months, the trend of the shelter being beyond full capacity has commenced,” said José Ocaño, director of shelter operations. “This happens every spring and summer and, as of this morning, we only have a handful of empty kennels available for incoming animals. We’re hoping Pima County residents will open their hearts and homes to a new family member.”

In addition to the free adoptions of adult dogs and cats, the adoption fee for puppies and kittens will only be $30 per animal.
The shelter, located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is open from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, please contact José Ocaño at 520-247-2171.
