This fair is all about building and supporting healthy families with a special focus for pregnant women and new moms interested in learning more about breastfeeding at home and at work.

Information and resources about how children grow and learn during the formative first few years and the importance of a healthy start will be available for moms and dads:

Abrams Public Health Center
3950 S. Country Club Road
SW corner of Ajo Way and Country Club Road
“We have a lot of work to do in creating a culture that not only supports, but encourages, women to breastfeed their baby. This is especially true for women in the work place and is a challenge for all of us as employers,” said Dr. Francisco Garcia, Director of the Pima County Health Department, who will also be speaking at the event.
Highlights of the fair include lots of giveaways and raffle prizes, an interactive and healthy playtime for parents and babies, free children’s books, free whooping cough vaccinations for uninsured and underinsured adults, and a free “Just for Dad” gift bag filled with essentials for all dads who attend.
Community organization representatives who offer assistance or services at no cost to the parents will be available as well as information regarding local hospital birthing centers, health insurance information for AHCCCS and the Marketplace, and tips how to make healthy snacks that are fun and easy and more.
This fair is for everyone -- moms, dads and the kids and is about building and supporting healthy families in Pima County.
