Public Service GaragePima County will officially open its newest downtown parking structure, the Public Service Garage on Monday, August 3. It is located at 38 E. Alameda St. south of the new County Public Service Center, 240 N. Stone Ave.

The seven-level, above-ground parking structure has approximately 600 parking spaces to accommodate the public’s daily needs as well as monthly parking passes for city and county employees and private businesses. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The public entrance and exit to the garage is located on Grossetta Avenue, north of Alameda Street and west of Toole Avenue. It is equipped with entry and exit ticket machines and pay stations at the northwest and southwest walls. The pay stations will take cash, credit (Visa and MasterCard only) and debit cards. Hourly parking rates will remain the same, with a maximum daily rate of $8; however, due to new software configurations, in-and-out, same-day passes will not be offered at this structure.

The facility was built to accommodate visitors of the new Pima County Public Service Center, which opened earlier this year and is now home to the Pima County Consolidated Justice Court, Assessor, Treasurer, Constables and Recorder offices.

This is the third Pima County-operated downtown parking facility open to the public. For more information about the garage or to inquire about monthly parking passes, contact Pima County’s parking garage offices at 724-3771.
