  • Bike bell giveaways aim to keep all Loop users safe

    Loop outreach Pima County’s Bike Ambassadors will give away bike bells, educate Loop users on safety issues and inaugurate a new section of The Loop at several events held through Dec. 20.

    Bike ambassadors will hand out bells, which are given on a first come, first served basis, are adjustable and fit any diameter handlebars on all bikes. They also will have copies of new pathway system maps of The Loop, which fold down to business-card size.

    Dates and locations are:
    • Sunday, Dec. 6 – Rillito River Park at Heirloom Farmer’s Market (north bank), 4502 N. 1st Ave., 9 a.m.-noon. 
    • Saturday, Dec. 19 - Santa Cruz River Park, Loop Bike Shop, 3201 W. Diamond St., 9 a.m.-noon.
    • Sunday, Dec. 20 – Harrison Greenway, Harrison Road & Irvington Road, 9 a.m.-noon.
