  • Neighborhood Leadership Institute set for Sept. 19

    Workshop participantsPima County’s Neighborhood Reinvestment Program invites neighborhood leaders and residents to attend its Neighborhood Leadership Institute Saturday, Sept. 19, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Pima County Housing Center, 801 W. Congress.

    Topics addressed during the workshop include: “Gen X, Y, and Z: Engaging Community Youth,” “Succession Planning: Passing Wisdom with the Gavel,” and “Cheers and Jeers: Reports from the Trenches.” The workshop is free for designated representatives of neighborhood groups. All others pay $50.

    Members of the Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment Program staff will lead the workshop. Each staff member has at least 10 years’ experience providing organizational support to Pima County neighborhoods and facilitating neighborhood reinvestment project development and construction.
