Please read on for several updates on active projects, soon to be active projects and projects that are on the radar of project planners for The Loop:Construction
    • CDO Underpass at La Canada Drive – this new underpass is substantially complete and is open for use.
    • CDO, Thornydale Road to I-10 – this project will be completed the week of September 21, 2015. It is not “officially” open at this time. If your curiosity gets the best of you, please be on alert as there are still a large number of barricades and cones in the new underpass below the UPRR and I-10.
    • CDO, La Cholla Boulevard to La Canada Drive (i.e. the missing link of the CDO) – this project is very much on our radar and will very likely become an active project later this fiscal year.
    • Santa Cruz River (west bank), Ajo Way to Irvington Road – pavement patching and repairs will commence the week of September 21, 2015 and the full pavement overlay of this 1 mile segment is scheduled for the week of September 28, 2015.
    • Santa Cruz River (east bank), Grant Road to Silverlake Road – long needed pavement repairs followed by a full pavement overlay of this 4-mile long project is scheduled for mid-October. This is a riverpark segment that the County has recently taken over from the City. As the start date becomes more precise, we will issue another alert specific to this project.
    • Santa Cruz River (west bank), Drexel Road to Valencia Road – this is a new segment of the Loop that will start construction in October and finish in early 2016.
    • Pantano Wash (east bank), Speedway Boulevard to 5th Street - this is a new ½ mile segment of the Loop that started construction this month and is anticipated to be finished in early 2016.
    • Pantano Wash (southwest bank), Ft. Lowell Park to Tanque Verde Road – this project is still moving forward. Construction is anticipated to commence in the first half of 2016.
    • Pantano Wash (southwest bank), Craycroft Road to Ft. Lowell Park – the planning phase of this project has been completed but it will not move forward until funding is identified.
    • Tanque Verde Creek (north bank), Craycroft Road to Tanque Verde Road – advanced planning of this project has been completed but it will not move forward until such time as the development on the north bank of the Tanque Verde Creek, upstream of Craycroft Road, moves forward.
    • Harrison Greenway, Irvington Road to Valencia Road – this 3-mile long project is on-going and is anticipated to be completed in late 2015 or early 2016.
