Holiday dog walkBurn off some calories before the Thanksgiving feast and make a dog’s day along the way by participating in the 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Dog Walk at Pima Animal Care Center, 4000 N. Silverbell Road., on Nov. 26.

Pima Animal Care invites dog walkers over the age of 16 to participate, though kids between the ages of 11- 15 can co-walk a dog with an adult. Interested participants must register at PACC's volunteer page by Tuesday, Nov. 24.

The dog walk starts at 9 a.m. and will continue until 11 a.m. Each walk generally takes between 20-30 minutes. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and clothes they don’t mind getting a little dirty.

“More than 80 people started their holiday off helping our pets last year,” said Andrew Stocker, PACC’s volunteer coordinator. “Even though it’s only a few hours, these walks make a huge impact on our pets’ lives and really help brighten up their day. Plus it’s a great opportunity for you to help our pets, even if you can’t adopt.”
