Pima County FYI logoPima County's Communications Office launched a public weekly newsletter Jan. 15 to help keep constituents informed about their county government and about opportunities, benefits and programs available to them.

Pima County FYI will publish its second issue Jan. 29, then will publish weekly. The first issue featured coverage of the proposed renovation at a northwest-side park, a photo slideshow of efforts by the Department of Transportation to clear the snowy roads leading up to Mt. Lemmon and a recap of the year's highlights at Pima Animal Care Center.

"It’s important that the public, voters and taxpayers know what their government is up to," wrote County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry in a welcome message in the first issue. "It’s also important the public know what services they’re paying for and are available to them, from pediatric dental care to home repair assistance."

Pima County FYI will feature information such as:
    • Meetings of the Board of Supervisors and other advisory boards and commission meetings
    • Economic Development news
    • Healthy Pima County news
    • New road, road expansion and road repair updates
    • Parks and Recreation and The Loop news
