Standards CoversAt the February 16, 2016 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board unanimously approved and adopted revisions to the Pima County Code, Chapter 13.16, by reference, the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department Engineering Design Standards 2016, the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department Standard Specifications and Details for Construction 2016, and the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department Formatting Standards, 2016.

The RWRD Standards Committee, comprised of members of the engineering development community and County staff, reviewed and approved 86 updates and improvements to the previous 2015 Standards. The Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) updated the Standards that are used by the Engineering Community to define how sewer improvements are designed and constructed.

Some of the revisions are minor such as scrivener errors and inconsistent language, and others are more substantial, such as the dedication language for sewer easements. The Public Sewer Formatting Standards are new and standardizes the format of sewer improvement plans.”
