  • Free fair housing forum open to the public

    The Pima County Community Development and Neighborhood Conservation Department, in conjunction with its community partners, is hosting a Fair Housing Forum on Friday, April 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The forum will cover such issues as affordable housing, reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, meeting the housing needs of the LGBT community, fair housing laws and more. 

    Realtors may receive continuing education credits (at no charge) for attending the forum, but the forum is also appropriate for apartment managers, leasing agents, housing counselors, assisted living/senior housing managers/owners and anyone who helps people with special needs meet their housing needs.

    A free continental breakfast will be served. Participants are asked to RSVP by Thursday, March 31 at 4 p.m. RSVPs can be made at www.swfhc.com by clicking on “Current Events”. Pima County’s partners in this forum include Southern Arizona Land Trust, Long Companies, DIRECT Center for Independence Southwest Fair Housing Council and Equal Housing Opportunity.
