Citizen Government at Work for You
Pima County FYI reports on appointments and reappointments of members of the public to more than 50 boards, committees and commissions.
Members of these groups are volunteers and are appointed by the members of the Board of Supervisors, County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry or other agencies or governments that have a stake in the work of the particular board, committee or commission on which these volunteers serve.
Citizens serving in this capacity provide advice and guidance to county departments and to members of the Board of Supervisors. These committed individuals have a deep dedication to the community and offer their expertise and knowledge for the betterment of Pima County.
On April 19, the Board of Supervisors approved the appointment or reappointment of the following citizens in service to the county:
- David Lyons, Bond Advisory Committee
- James MacAdam, Flood Control District Advisory Committee
Bond Advisory Committee
David Lyons is a long time resident of Tucson. Mr. Lyons has served as the Executive Vice President and Southern Arizona Regional President for the National Bank of Arizona for nearly 22 years. He has 25 years’ experience in the banking and real estate industries and is active in our community serving on numerous boards such the Tucson Airport Authority Board of Directors and Pima County Bond Advisory Committee. Mr. Lyons has served on the Pima County Bond Advisory Committee for the past 13 years.
Flood Control District Advisory Committee
James MacAdam has been appointed to the Flood Control District Advisory Committee. MacAdam works for the City of Tucson in the City Manager’s Office. He has spent years working in the environmental field and has an extensive background in the areas of water conservation, stormwater harvesting and green building.
