The Pantano River Park Bicycle and Pedestrian Enhancement, 5th Street to Speedway connects the existing segments of the Pantano River Park with a Divided Urban Pathway consisting of a paved path, a decomposed granite path, pedestrian bridge, shade structure, public art, landscaping and ancillary features.
This enhancement fills in a critical gap in the center of the 9.5-mile long Pantano River Park which begins at Craycroft Road at the Rillito River Park and ends at the Harrison Greenway.
This project provides an off-street commute and recreational alternative in an area of Tucson that has been underserved by transportation pathways.
