Pima County is actively seeking applications from qualified for-profit and nonprofit developers, contractors, builders, governmental agencies, or partnerships for the development of affordable housing projects.
Funds available through the Pima County General Obligation Affordable Housing Bond Program are for shovel-ready, gap funding not to exceed $250,000. The total funds available are $750,000.
The funds will be used to develop affordable housing for purchase or for rent by eligible low- and moderate-income families. The program was designed to alleviate the lack of affordable housing in Pima County and assist qualified households who otherwise lack the financial ability to achieve affordable homeownership or obtain rental housing.

The approval process will require applicants to meet minimum threshold requirement criteria before submittal to the Pima County Housing Commission. The Commission provides oversight for the Pima County General Obligation Bond Funds for Affordable Housing. The Commission will review, score, select and make recommendations to the Pima County Board of Supervisors for final project approval.
