The Plant Interconnect is a gravity sewer interceptor that connects the existing Roger Road WRF to the Ina Road WRF. Initially a maximum transfer of 10 MGD from the existing Roger Road WRF to the Ina Road WRF through the plant interconnect was required to maintain wastewater flows to the existing Roger Road WRF within permitted levels while the new Roger Road WRF is being constructed. In the future, wastewater flows in excess of the future Roger Road WRF’s 32 MGD treatment capacity will be transferred to the Ina Road WRF through the Plant Interconnect. With the new Roger Road WRF in operation, a portion of the flow is diverted to the new facility with the remainder conveyed to the Ina Road WRF. The plant interconnect is designed to transfer a year 2030 peak wet weather flows of 145 MGD from the existing Roger Road WRF to the new Roger Road WRF and 81 MGD from the future Roger Road WRF to the Ina Road WRF.
