The project included widening La Cañada Drive between Ina Road and Calle Concordia from two-lanes to four-lanes in order to: accommodate increased traffic demands in the area; to improve vehicular, pedestrian, bicycle, and equestrian safety; and to provide a key north-south all-weather route for residents, commuter and emergency service providers in the Northwest.
Key benefits include improved drainage, a dedicated multi-use pathway for pedestrian and equestrian users, noise mitigation, and public artwork combined with landscaping to provide a more aesthetic overall appearance.
