The project addressed three elements of need for pedestrians: sub-standard and nonexistent infrastructure, ramps compliant to the Arizona with Disabilities Act, and 4 traffic circles within the neighborhood boundaries to reduce speeding traffic. This project provided four foot wide sidewalks and 60 ADA compliant driveway aprons on the east and west sides of Columbus between Grant and Speedway. This project created safer streets for youth, family, disabled and elderly pedestrians and automobile drivers, and helped stabilizing the neighborhood.
