This project provided a completed Master Plan for the Southeast Regional Park (SERP) Shooting Sports Complex, including the existing Rifle Range, the Educational Range, the Archery Range, and the Shotgun Sports Range. The master plan is coordinated for an utlimate buildout, and the construction work associated with this project provided a phase one installation for the Educational Range, the Archery Range and the Shotgun Sports Range.
The educational range includes an education building with indoor airgun/archery range, plus a 50 yard educational range, berm and shaded range cover. The Archery range includes the full berm and earthwork for 20 stations for archery, a minimal parking area, restrooms, and uncovered DG shooting line. The shotgun sports range includes a first phase installation with three trap and three combination trap/skeet shooting stations along with required trap/skeet houses, equipment, restrooms and administration office.
This project was a key installation for the shooting range, and shows the County’s commitment to many different shooting sports user groups. The infrastructure is now in place to allow for future expansion at a future date.
