adopt from PACCPima Animal Care Center has decided to kick off the Labor Day weekend with free pet adoptions on all its homeless pets, including puppies and kittens at its shelter and all four participating PetSmart stores.

In keeping with its mission of never turning away a pet in need, PACC continues to take in more pets than it can hold and is, once again, overcrowded. The shelter is currently housing approximately 700 pets.

“We urge our community to please help and consider opening up their home to a pet in need,” said Justin Gallick, PACC’s director for community engagement.

All adopted pets will leave the shelter spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Plus, the owners will get a voucher for one free vet visit. A standard $17 licensing fee will apply to adult dogs.
PACC officials will extend the free adoptions through Sept. 11. See the list of adoptable pets

For those who can’t adopt, PACC also offers a number of ways to help its homeless shelter pets. The options vary from volunteering, to fostering, or making donations. Visit PACC’s website to learn more.
