construction saleAfter Pima Animal Care Center broke ground for its new voter-approved facility this week, PACC officials announced that its first “Construction Sale” will start Friday, Oct. 7.

To help ease overcrowding during this time of transition, all dog, cat, puppy and kitten adoptions will be $10 through Sunday, Oct. 9.

“We’re so grateful that our community is allowing us to build a new state-of-the-art shelter that will be bigger and better for our pets,” said PACC director of development and marketing, Karen Hollish. “In the meantime, though, we’re still caring for nearly 700 dogs and cats in the space we’ve got – so we’re hoping the community will come out for our first Construction Sale so we can send lots of pets home.”

The special will be honored at PACC’s shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Road, as well as its four offsite PetSmart locations. All adopted PACC pets have been spayed or neutered and have age-appropriate vaccinations and microchips. Adopters also receive a voucher for a free vet visit.

A standard $17 license fee applies to adult dogs.
