
The
Tucson Saguaros and the
Garden City Wind of the Pecos League will hold a three-day open tryout camp Dec. 16-18 at
Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, to recruit players for their 2017 season.
Aspiring ball players can
register for the camp on the
Tucson Saguaros website. The registration fee for this three-day camp costs $300. It includes drills and workouts on Friday and games on Saturday and Sunday.
The
Pecos League is an independent professional baseball league with teams in New Mexico, Kansas, West Texas, Southern Colorado, and Arizona. The League accepts all players who are not currently under contract with another professional baseball team.
Coaching staff from each team will attend the camp to find players for their 2017 roster. The Tucson Saguaros have four open slots to fill and Garden City has three.

Also, starting Dec. 16, the Tucson Saguaros will open the Kino Novelty Shop, 2500 E. Ajo Way, to holiday shoppers from noon to 6 p.m. each day through Dec. 23. Items for sale include 2017 Tucson Saguaros tickets, hats, jerseys and other team gear.
