  • Environmental Quality proposes new solid waste fee schedule

    The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) is proposing revisions to Pima County's fee schedule relating to Pima County’s solid waste facilities (landfills and transfer stations).

    Staff recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt the proposed fee schedule ordinance.  The proposed fee schedule ordinance presents changes to solid waste facilities fees, including establishing commercial and residential fees for a period of five (5) years beginning July 1, 2018. The currently adopted fee schedule ends June 30, 2018.

    A public hearing before the Pima County Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at, or after, 9 a.m. in the Board Hearing Room, located at 130 W. Congress, 1st floor, Tucson, Arizona.  

    Comments pertaining to the proposed ordinance may be submitted at the above noticed public hearing, in writing to PDEQ (Attn: Sarah Reitmeyer, 33 N Stone Ave Suite 700, Tucson, AZ 85701), through the online public comment form, or via e-mail to Sarah Reitmeyer.  Written comments on the proposed ordinance will be accepted by PDEQ until 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2017.
