CarrollThe Pima County Board of Supervisors appointed former Pima County Supervisor Ray Carroll to fill the vacant Justice of the Peace post in Precinct 7.

Carroll served as the District 4 supervisor from 1997 to 2016, when he decided to not run for reelection.

“I enjoyed serving this community for 20 years and I’m looking forward to this new chapter of my life with my wife Ann in Green Valley,” Carroll said.

Carroll said he has already moved to Green Valley and plans to sell his Tucson home.

The Board appointed Carroll to fill the position Lisa Royal vacated in August. Royal was appointed to the Justice of Peace post in 2013 and elected to a four-year term in 2014. She left the job to return to serve as administrator of Pima County Consolidated Justice Court.

Carroll will complete Royal’s term, which ends in November 2018.
