PACC dogIn tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Pima Animal Care Center will offer a three-day “Love Knows No Color” waived adoption fee special. The promotion applies to all PACC pets starting immediately and lasting through Monday, Jan. 15.

"Doctor Martin Luther King Junior once said ‘Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way,’” PACC Director of Animal Services Kristen Auerbach said. "We hope the people of Pima County won’t look the other way, but come down to PACC and find out for themselves that these animals have boundless love to give."

As of Friday morning, PACC had 364 pets at its main shelter located at 4000 N. Silverbell Rd. To see them all, visit the shelter through 7 p.m. Friday, between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. As always, all adopted pets will come spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adopters will also receive a voucher for a free or low-cost vet visit. A standard $18 licensing fee will apply to adult dogs.

Spread the word and help PACC pets find a furever home. To see PACC’s adoptable pets or learn more about other ways to help, visit PACC's website.
