Motor vehicle emissions account for about half the air pollution in Pima County. Drivers are key to reducing air pollution.

Choosing to use alternate modes of transportation for work commutes, even just one day a week, can go a long way in helping to keep the air healthy to breathe. Carpooling, vanpooling, taking transit, biking and walking instead of driving alone can also save money, reduce congestion, improve health and fitness, enhance social life and even provide additional personal time.

Hosted by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality and El Rio Health, Activate Your Commute is free and open to the public. Sponsors include Enterprise Rideshare and Tucson Electric Power.
