  • There's still time get tax assistance

Tax day is quickly approaching, but there’s still time to get help.

Free tax preparation help is available at a number of Pima County Public Library branches. The Quincie Douglas Library hosts two sessions with certified volunteers from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.

The Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program enables taxpayers to bring in their documents, which are reviewed, scanned, and uploaded to a secure server. It usually takes about 20 minutes.

And did you know that Arizona has 23,800 taxpayers who are due a refund from 2014, which averages out to $750 a return, for a total of over $23 million. Ask your Valet VITA rep if you’re one of them.

Clients must attend in person and bring all required paperwork and documents.
