  • Autism event coming to Kino Sports Complex April 28

    Autism WalkThousands of community members will gather at Kino Sports Complex on April 28 to walk for a cause as they participate in the 12th Annual Autism Walk and Resource Fair, the largest autism event of its kind in Southern Arizona. 

    This annual event promotes autism awareness and connects families to resources while also offering fun activities, food, drinks and more. The event will take place at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, starting at 9 a.m. 

    Registration is required to participate. Individuals can visit the Autism Walk website to sign up in advance. Online pre-registration will remain open until April 26 at 11:55 p.m. The cost is $19 for individuals 15 years old and over, $5 for children ages 14 and under. Individuals may also register onsite the day of the event, however, the fee for adults will increase to $25.

    All proceeds from the event will go toward funding the Autism Society of Southern Arizona’s programs and services, including its Sensory Friendly Films, Sonoran Dolphins Swim & Safety Scholarship Program, STEAM! Camps, Playformance Teen Meet Ups and Speaker Series Programs.
