Pima County’s Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Department is offering online registration for its summer swim lessons. Registration opens at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 15.

Lessons cost $20 for a two-week session (eight classes). Visit pima.gov/pools and click on the link for swimming lessons. Any time before May 15, registrants can go to that Swim lessonspage, click on the orange “Register Now” button and create an account.

Registration ends at midnight on the Wednesday before the start of each session. Due to program capacity, all pools limit total registration. Many pools sell out each summer, so make sure to register early.
    • Session 1: June 4-14, Monday-Thursday each week. Registration ends on May 30 at midnight.
    • Session 2: June 18-28, Monday-Thursday each week. Registration ends on June 13 at midnight.
    • Session 3: July 9-19, Monday-Thursday each week. Registration ends on July 4 at midnight
    • Session 4: July 23-August 2, Monday-Thursday each week. Registration 4 ends on July 18 at midnight
Registration information specific to each pool may be found on the swim page. Those who are unable to register online may contact Jodi Layton at 520-724-5171 for assistance or any questions.

In addition, some families may qualify for free swim lessons thanks to an agreement with the Parklands Foundation, which raises money to protect and enhance the Pima County parks system. Free registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are only offered during sessions 1 and 2 each summer.
