The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) Clean Air Program will be hosting an Open House at the Chuck Bowden Mount Lemmon Community Center, 12949 N. Sabino Canyon Park, Mt. Lemmon, AZ on Saturday,
June 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Discover how air quality is monitored in Pima County and explore ways you can protect your health and prevent air pollution.
PDEQ staff will give “Healthy Air Is In Our Hands” mini-presentations, share air quality resources and invite participants to engage in free, fun, family-friendly educational activities. The Open House will also offer guests the opportunity to take a pledge to drive less for a chance to win a $100 Visa card; and sign up for air quality advisories and 5-Day Air Quality Forecasts.
PDEQ serves Pima County residents by protecting public health and the environment by providing services including water and air quality monitoring, enforcement, solid waste management, information, outreach and education. Attend PDEQ’s Clean Air Program Open House and learn how you can help to keep the desert and mountain air healthy to breathe.
