    medical id cardBeginning July 1, 2018, all employees that are enrolled in the High deductible Health Plan (HDHP) will utilize Aetna for their medical benefits and CVS/caremark for their pharmacy benefits. Although the pharmacy plan will now be under a separate contract with CVS, members are not limited to using a CVS pharmacy and will continue to have full access to all in-network pharmacies for their prescription needs. All specialty medications will be dispensed at CVS pharmacies.

    You will be issued a new member identification card that will include both Aetna medical and CVS pharmacy information and a Welcome Kit from CVS/caremark that includes an overview of the prescription benefits. The ID card and Welcome Kit are scheduled to be mailed to your home mailing address within the next week. Temporary ID cards can be printed by logging on to

    In the meantime, please register your new account at When registering for the first time, please use your Social Security Number when prompted to enter in your Member ID. Please note your plan start date is July 1, 2018.

    NationwideEffective July 1, 2018, all Pima County Deferred Compensation 457(b) accounts will transfer to a new plan, administered by Nationwide in partnership with the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) Supplemental Salary Deferral Plan (SSPD). The 457(b) plan allows you to contribute a portion of your salary to supplement retirement savings on a pre-tax basis. Also, employees now have the option to begin post-tax contributions by electing Roth contributions.

    Due to the conversion process, activity blackout dates are scheduled:

    • ICMA 6/29/18 – 7/12/18
    • Prudential and Nationwide 7/2/18 – 7/12/2018
    • The first deposits to the ASRS Nationwide accounts will be 7/13/18.
