    Firecracker 50 at Tucson Speedway

    Celebrate the Ol’ Red, White and Blue with horsepower and fireworks! The racing competition will include Super
    Late Model, Super Truck, Hornet and Modified heats on the Speedway’s 3/8 mile paved track. Gates open 5 p.m. Pyrotechnics begin at 9:30 p.m. Tickets run $9 – $40.

    Bat Biology Lecture

    Bats are amazing animals - the only mammals capable of flight. They are able to capture small insects in flight in total darkness. Bats are also very diverse in species, diet, and lifestyle. Join us for an in-depth look at these remarkable, but sometimes misunderstood, creatures.

    All ages welcome. $10 with NRPR activities membership, $15 non-member fee. Online registration required.

    Another season of soccer action comes to a close in spectacular fashion at Kino North Stadium as Tucson hosts their rivals from the ABQ followed by the teams annual fireworks extravaganza! It's the last chance to catch the “Men in Black" who finish the season with four straight road games.

    Lunch on a Bus!

    All kids age 18 and under who qualify for Amphitheater Public Schools' free lunch program can grab some grub, for free, at the Woods Branch every Monday through Thursday until July 12, no paperwork or hassles. Take a lunch, get on the bus and eat in air-conditioned comfort! Lunch be served daily while supplies last (not available on July 4). Woods is one of several Library branches offering free meals to eligible youth this summer.

    Independence Day
