voter registration numbers upAlthough National Voter Registration Day fell on Sept. 25, for the Pima County Recorder’s Office it felt like National Voter Registration Week. Last week, the office processed a record number of new voter registrations and registration updates. Between Sept. 24-28, the Recorder’s Office processed over 2,800 new registrations and updated nearly 5,000 records.

“With all the media coverage associated with National Voter Registration Day, many voters are taking an active role in making sure their information is current and up to date. This is exciting to see,” said Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez.

Rodriguez' staff continues to work hard to ensure the Voter Registration Database is accurate and up to date for the 2018 General Election.

Individuals who have not registered to vote have until Tuesday, Oct. 9 to do so. For questions on how to register or to check your current voter registration, visit the Pima County Recorder's website or call the office at 520-724-4330.

Once the voter registration deadline passes, the next step for voters will be to vote by mail, at an early voting location or at their assigned polling location of Election Day. The Recorder's Office will begin mailing the Ballot by Mail ballots on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
