Pima County Health Department offers two classes to support those with diabetes or pre-diabetes.
- You Can Make a Change for Life, Prevent T2, is a National Diabetes Prevention Program for adults who have been told they have pre-diabetes or at high risk to develop type 2 diabetes. Classes meet weekly for 16 sessions and 6 monthly sessions with a trained Lifestyle Coach. Topics include eating healthy, being physically active, managing stress and coping with everyday life challenges. Must be 18+ to participate. FREE!
- Learn More: Live Better! Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) is for people who have been diagnosed with diabetes and have questions about how to make healthy choices in food, diet, sleep, medications, etc. Whether you were diagnosed last week or 10 years ago, if you have questions about living with diabetes, we are here to answer them! Must be 18+ to participate. Classes are a series of 6 weekly meetings. FREE!
